Pastor Michael Amador

Pastor Michael Amador

Pastor Amador was raised in a small town in Upstate New York where he attended a Parochial school for twelve years. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Army where he served as a specialist in Artillery. He met his wife at the age of 22 in Lakeland Florida, and was married a year later. They share two sons, and a daughter. Doctor Amador also holds two PhD’s, one in Healthcare Administration and the other in Theology; in addition to his Degrees, he is also a Certified Christian counselor.

Pastor Amador oversees a total of five churches and 48 ministries. We have partners in Mexico, Israel, Argentina and Haiti that we work with and support monthly. He is the Senior Pastor and Founder of New Beginnings Church of North Houston and Iglesia De Nuevos Comienzos De Spring. His calling and passion is for the hurting and wounded. In his preaching ministry Pastor Amador is known as a man with a heart for evangelism.  This has been reflected in the fruits and works of Both New Beginnings Church of North Houston and Iglesia de Nuevos Comienzos De Spring.

Since 2004, we have hosted and participated in more than 20 Crusades, we have gone on numerous international missionary trips in Israel, Mexico, Haiti and Argentina. We have fed, clothed and ministered to over 1,400,000 children of God worldwide. We have been supporting an orphanage in Israel of more than 700 children who are gravely disabled the last three years.

We held our first service on August 8, 2004, with 15 people in our first location, 157 Greens Rd., in Houston Texas. This was a storefront location of 1500 square feet in the Area of Greenspoint. Within 6 months, we had outgrown the space and moved into a larger location of 5200 square feet within the same strip mall. After one year we had grown to over 100 and we were beginning to outgrow our location once again. We had to add another service on Sunday to accommodate our growth. We remained there for 5 years and then found a new larger location on Spring Cypress Rd of 6800 square feet. We began a Spanish church and we grew rapidly. After 5 years we had over 155 members. After our three year lease ended at our Spring Cypress location, the building we are in now at 23300 Cypresswood Dr became available. We had grown at the end of the 3 year lease to close to 200 members.

We have now been in our present location for 3 years and our membership is now over 300 between both churches. We have steadily grown every year we have been opened. The Lord has blessed us and sustained each and every year. I have no doubt that, within the next 3 years, we will need to add space and services to our present location to accommodate our growth.

We have received numerous acknowledgements from the city of Houston concerning our church and its community involvement. On April 15, 2005 we received a proclamation by then Mayor Bill White for our crusade we conducted in Houston that fed and ministered to over 16,000 people. In August 2014, we were recognized by the Harris County Sheriff’s office for our work with law enforcement. In September 2016, Pastor Amador received an award from the Harris County sheriff’s office for his work as a Senior Chaplain for district five. In January 2018, we received an official acknowledgement from The Governor of Matamoros, Mexico for our Humanitarian and ministry work in that city.

New Beginnings

We are a church that believes in assisting God's people to fulfill their purpose. It does not matter what ethnic, religious, or economic background you come from. We know that God has a purpose for your life and wants to have a relationship with you.

We were asked recently what makes our church different. First of all, choosing a church to attend is a serious decision and must never be made hastily. With that said, our church is unique in many ways. We do not believe the Word of God should be watered down to be politically correct. The only way one can experience true transformation and blessing is by hearing the uncompromising word of God.

Church should never be allowed to become mundane and stagnant. Everyone that attends our church experiences something great each and every time they attend because of the strong presence of God that is felt throughout each service.

Church must be more than just a place you congregate weekly. There must be a strong sense of family, support and growth with the focus being on giving glory to our Lord through all that we do.

We want to personally invite you to come worship with us and experience for yourself a New Beginning.
