Crosby, Stills and Nash Classic Gets Stunning Cover on The Voice

This Crosby, Stills, and Nash classic gets a stunning cover on The Voice by the talented trio DEK of Hearts. They sound simply marvelous as they sing “Helplessly Hoping.” Watch the video to see them for yourself.

The trio absolutely shines as they bring the 1969 folk classic to life on The Voice. It is an absolutely perfect song choice, as the original is also sung by a trio. Their harmony is flawless.

The group, DEK of Hearts, consists of Dylan John, Emily Clapp, and Kollin Bailey, who have country roots. “Helplessly Hoping” is little known today, but DEK of Hearts gives new life to the song.

“Wow, wow,” judge Michael Bublé utters, just moments into the song. Meanwhile, judge Reba McEntire watches with a huge grin, and Snoop Dogg says, “Hey, yeah!”

The group’s song is over too soon, and it sounds so smooth that it makes you just want to put it on repeat. They have astounding close harmonies and stick tight to the rhythm. It’s smooth and precise while giving a laid-back feeling. Their cover would certainly make Crosby, Stills, and Nash proud.

Some of the song’s lyrics are:

Wordlessly watching he waits by the window
And wonders at the empty place inside
Heartlessly helping himself to her bad dreams
He worries did he hear a goodbye?

The song is about the complexities and difficulties of falling in love. Somehow, DEK of Heart’s version feels even more emotional than the original, perhaps because of the addition of a female voice. Every lyric is sung with melancholy, hope, warmth, and depth.

The band sounds like seasoned professionals. Each member knows exactly when to bring their voice forward and when to blend back into the harmony. This cover is a perfect example of their musical chemistry and skill—that we all get to enjoy.

Ed Sheeran Cover Draws Adorable and Unexpected Audience Members

Ed Sheeran's cover draws adorable and unexpected audience members. Every once in a while, the internet hands us a moment so gentle it feels like a deep breath we didn’t know we were holding. That’s exactly what happens when you stumble across a video from Plume Music. His audience isn’t one you’d expect, but if you love wildlife, or quiet beauty that feels almost sacred, you’re going to want to linger here awhile.

Perched on a hill, Plume looks like an old soul perfectly at home in the world. He sits comfortably in a chair, pink guitar resting in his hands, suspenders holding up his pants like they’ve been doing this faithful work for decades. There’s nothing rushed about him. Nothing performative. Just a man, a guitar, and a wide-open landscape that feels like it’s listening, too.

Then he begins to sing.

It’s a slow, unfolding version of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect,’ softened and stretched like honey poured over time. His voice doesn’t demand attention; it invites it. The kind of song you’d expect to drift through an early morning, when the air is still, and the light hasn’t decided what it wants to be yet. The music feels peaceful. Almost magical. The kind that makes you sit a little straighter without realizing why.

And just when you think the moment has reached its peak, it somehow deepens.

A giraffe wanders into view.

Then another.

They approach with the kind of curiosity only animals seem to have—unbothered, unhurried, wholly present. They sniff the guitar. They listen. They stay. And suddenly you’re watching something that feels like it belongs in a children’s book or a dream you’ll wish you could return to later.

As a mom, I couldn’t help but imagine how lovely it would be to be serenaded like that—coffee in hand, walking through the backyard in the quiet of morning while music floats through the air. No noise. No rushing. Just beauty meeting you where you are. And yes, I’ll admit it, I felt a little jealous of the giraffes, but more enchanted and completely undone in the best way.

There’s something about watching animals pause for music that reminds us of what we’ve forgotten. That wonder doesn’t need an audience. That beauty doesn’t need applause. Sometimes it just needs a pink guitar, an open hill, and a song sung slowly enough for the soul to catch up.
And for a few minutes, thanks to Plume, the world feels softer.

Hauntingly Beautiful ‘Way Maker’ Cover Performance

This hauntingly beautiful “Way Maker” cover performance will send chills up your spine. It is simply wholesome and alluring. Watch the video to see why.

Joel Jackson displays remarkable talent not just in singing but also in his piano playing in this video. Sitting alone in an empty church, Joel pours out all his praises to God through his “Way Maker” cover. He sings with his whole soul.

Some of the lyrics he belts out are:

That is who You are
Way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper
Light in the darkness
My God, that is who You are

Joel sings in different pitches, transforming his voice from line to line. His voice is very unique and it’s not the kind of voice you’d immediately picture singing a worship song, but it sounds wonderful nonetheless.

Joel sings with conviction and confidence. He sings as if he believes every word he is singing. It makes you want to sing right along, too.

The song’s original singer and writer, Sinach, said she was inspired by how God called Abram to leave his people.

“And he took him out to a place where He will show him,” she said. “He didn’t even explain everything.” But God promised Abram that He would make his name known.

“All that promises, it was just a promise.. but the Bible said Abram believed God and he left his comfort zone,” Sinach said. “That’s when the Lord gave me the song. He said, ‘Oh see, I’m your Waymaker.’”

This is an inspiring and incredible performance that reminds us that God is good. He will keep his promises, and we have no need to doubt Him, the great Way Maker.

“God is not a man, to say what is false; or the son of man, that his purpose may be changed: what he has said, will he not do? and will he not give effect to the words of his mouth?” Numbers 23:19

Young Man’s Stunning ‘I Will Always Love You’ Cover on The Voice

This young man’s stunning “I Will Always Love You” cover on The Voice Kids Croatia wins a four-chair turn. The boy is remarkably talented at such a young age. Watch the video to hear his skill.

It's surprising to hear a young boy sing a Whitney Houston song, especially this one. In general, it’s rare to hear “I Will Always Love You” sung by male vocals at all. But young Leon Jambrek does an astounding job when he sings it. He can perfectly hit all of those complex notes, and he is just as jaw-dropping as Whitney.

Some of the lyrics to the classic song are:

So goodbye, please don't cry
We both know I'm not what you, you need
And I will always love you
I will always love you

About halfway into Leon’s performance, 3 of the judges already have their chairs turned. The last judge waits until the final note before he joins in agreement with the others. Young Leon certainly deserves every praise and attention from the judges. You can tell that he’s worked hard at his performance and is trying his best to control his voice.

As Leon builds the song toward its final climax, he demonstrates excellent control and maturity. Even though he’s on a big stage in front of a large audience and celebrities, he doesn’t cave into the pressure for a moment.

It’s wonderful that Croatia has a kids’ program of The Voice. It gives kids like Leon a chance to shine and the opportunity for everyone to hear his remarkable and gifted voice. His technical skill is great, and his incredible performance proves that age isn’t an indicator of talent. He’s a singer to keep an eye out for as he continues to hone his craft.

Voice Contestant Stuns with Unique Take on 80s Classic ‘Down Under’

This The Voice contestant stuns with his unique take on 80s classic “Down Under.” Nick Cunningham completely wows the judges with his guitar lying across his lap. Play the video to hear his unique twist on the song.

Nick has one of those voices that makes you feel like you can just fall into it and let it carry you somewhere else. From the very start of his song, he’s taking you to another plane. He even has some of the audience waving their hands back and forth, and all the judges turn their chairs to get him on their team.

His song sounds almost completely different than the original; it feels more subtle and unassuming. There is an air of sophistication there, too. It draws out the lyrics in a way that makes you think about their meaning. Some of the song’s words are:

"Do you come from a land down under
Where women glow and men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run, you better take cover"

Nick offers gentle beauty to the song through his steady voice, creative guitar playing, and drumming. It is simply a beautiful rendition of Men at Work’s “Down Under.” The song has an entirely different energy than the original 80s classic, but Nick isn’t trying to strip the song completely, but highlight how beautiful it can be when performed like this. He’s just reimagining it in a way that feels lovely and intimate.

Nick completely mesmerized the judges, and one of them was so immediately impressed that she turned her chair before the first line was even finished. And when Nick sings that last note, the crowd erupts, knowing that they got to experience something very unique. Nick proves that people can still love and connect with something familiar, even when it’s presented in a wholly new way.

Incredible New Cover of ‘(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay’

This incredible new cover of ‘(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay’ will have you floating towards Christmas break in no time. There are days in December when time doesn’t walk—it sprints. And we moms are right there chasing it, ponytail flying, coffee going cold, calendar notifications popping like popcorn.

Concerts. School projects that somehow require glitter at 9 p.m. Sports events layered on top of Christmas programs.

Cards to mail. Cookies to bake. Volunteering to volunteer for volunteering. It’s beautiful and exhausting and loud in the way only a full life can be.

And then a song stops you.

IMY2’s take on “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” drifts in, and suddenly your shoulders drop an inch. Maybe two. The song we’ve known forever is reimagined—soft but strong, familiar yet fresh—and it feels like someone gently reminding us how to breathe again.

IMY2 is a three-piece pop/rock group based in Nashville, Tennessee, known for blending original music with thoughtful covers of well-loved classics. At the center is Annalise Mahanes, lead vocalist and primary songwriter, whose voice somehow feels both grounded and wild at the same time. She’s joined by Cal Tucker on bass and piano and Michael Monahan on guitar, and together they don’t just play songs—they hold them.

Watching Annalise sing is its own experience. Her blue hair alone deserves a moment of silence. Or applause. Or at least a pause where you ask yourself, Could I pull that off?

You imagine it for half a second, blue hair, oversized sweater, no responsibilities beyond sipping something warm and staring at water. And then reality taps you on the shoulder and reminds you that you have a permission slip due tomorrow and someone needs clean socks.

Still, a mom can dream.

IMY2’s version of ‘Dock of the Bay’ feels like an invitation to that dream. It’s unhurried. Unbothered. The opposite of the mental to-do list currently running laps in your head. It makes you long for a dock somewhere—anywhere—where no one needs you to sign, glue, drive, organize, or remember the difference between festive casual and Christmas formal.

The irony, of course, is that we’re listening to this song while folding laundry or sitting in the carpool line, surrounded by backpacks and half-eaten snacks. Our docks are minivans. Our bays are calendars. We’re not sitting—we’re sprinting. But for three minutes and some change, the song lets us pretend.

So we keep moving. We keep showing up. We keep wrapping gifts and snacks and ourselves in grace. But maybe tonight, after the last light is turned off and the house finally exhales, we sit for a minute. Headphones in. Song on repeat.

Just sitting on the dock of the bay—Watching the mom-life roll away.

Stunning A Cappella Cover of ‘For Once in My Life’ Will Give You Chills

This stunning a cappella cover of “For Once in My Life” will give you chills right to your core. The beautiful all-male arrangement is all you can ask for in an a cappella song. Play the video to hear the sweet melody.

The whole group bee-bops to the solo sopranoist’s lead, and it sounds ever so pleasant. If you are a music lover, this song will give you chills. It’s a full and vibrant melody, with so many sounds going on at once, but they blend together marvelously. At some parts, the men harmonize at such a fast pace—it’s almost as if they are sped up. It takes incredible skill to keep up at that pace, and each member demonstrates remarkable talent.

Some of the lyrics they belt out together are:

For once in my life I won't let sorrow hurt me
Not like it's hurt me before (not like it's hurt before)
For once, I have something I know won't desert me
I'm not alone anymore (I'm not alone anymore)
I’d wager that Stevie Wonder himself would be delighted by this arrangement of this song. The young men capture the joy of its message perfectly. There’s a near-tangible energy full of infectious passion and joy. You can hear it in their voices and see it on their faces.

The arrangement moves swiftly from section to section, with the group using a handful of different patterns that steady the song. As the arrangement unfolds, if you listen carefully, you can hear each layer rise and fall, creating a powerful dynamic that pulls you in with each cheerful note. The vocal percussion is like a steady drumbeat that grounds all the harmonies. All in all, it’s a very clean and colorful performance that will have you tapping your foot to the beat or even singing along.

Teen’s Unique Rendition of an Otis Redding Classic Earns 4-Chair Turn

One teen’s unique rendition of an Otis Redding classic earned a four-chair turn. The young man’s take on a tune known and beloved by many literally caused some of the biggest names in music to sit up and take notice. Watch the short but jaw-dropping clip to hear how the young man provided a fresh, updated cover of “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay.”

Musical covers have likely been happening since music first came into existence. So, they have been going on for quite some time, a time-honored tradition going back hundreds, possibly thousands of years. Since that is the case, I’d venture to say that covers are not going anywhere, at least for the foreseeable future.

Even though covers are likely to be here for a long time, that doesn’t mean they have to, or even should, be clones or carbon copies of the original. No one wants that, and if that is the case, we’ll just listen to the original, as it’s likely to be better anyway. The point being, that covers should come with some new twist, something that helps it stand out from the original.

That was precisely what one young man did when he took the stage to sing Otis Redding’s classic “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay.” That, in my opinion, is one of the best songs of all time, and so doing that tune justice will always be a high mark, a tall task. However, this teenager did just that, adding an unexpected element to his performance to make the song his own.

About halfway through the song, the young man started rapping. It was at that point that the judges began turning their chairs. They recognized the talent and musical gift this young man was blessed with and knew they wanted to add him to their team.

Later, after his performance, the teenager confessed that he had actually written the verse he rapped and had been writing lyrics for quite some time.

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

A Cappella Group Delivers Show-Stopping Rendition of ‘Fun, Fun, Fun’

This a cappella group delivers a show-stopping rendition of the Beach Boys’ “Fun, Fun, Fun,” and it practically sounds better than the original boy band’s version. The a cappella group is bursting with talent. Play the video to see for yourself!

The all-male group is incredibly entertaining as they snap their fingers and bop and jive to the beat. There’s an especially fun moment at the end of the song when the bass singer comes in, pushing aside the higher-voiced singers to sing the final lyric, “away.”

The Beach Boys’ song is a lighthearted song about a girl who steals her dad’s car to have a good time until she gets caught. Some of the lyrics to “Fun, Fun, Fun” are:

A lot of guys try to catch her
And she leads them on a wild goose chase, now
And she'll have fun, fun, fun till her daddy takes the T-bird away
(Fun, fun, fun, 'till her daddy takes the T-bird away)

The Harvard Krokodiloes performed a great song for their group. It’s precisely the kind of song you picture a bunch of college guys singing together. And the soloist, William Murray, has a range and intonation that are especially impressive.

What makes the performance better is the personality that each member brings to the stage. You can tell that they love what they do and are genuinely enjoying themselves, as well as their camaraderie. There is a bright, colorful energy that hums through their tight harmonies. The song has a slightly fresh twist but still feels like a fun romp through the '60s.

There’s a lot of joy here, and it reminds you why everyone loves a cappella. It’s a group effort more than anything, and when done well, it’s like opening a gift. And what a lovely gift it is! These young men are going places.

A Kelly Clarkson Classic Gets a Beautiful, Must-Hear Cover

There’s something about music—how it cuts right through the noise in our minds and settles into the quiet places inside us. This must hear Kelly Clarkson classic gets a beautiful cover that you’ll want to share with your friends because they nailed it. Why might you ask? Because long before we can name what we’re feeling, music captures it. It’s as if songs wrap words around emotions we have carried for years.

Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Because of You’ has always been one of those songs. Written originally when she was just 16, Kelly penned her feelings into lyrics that would later carry millions like you and me through heartbreak, disappointment, and the complicated ache of childhood wounds. It became a national anthem of vulnerability. Something we sing even when we don’t want to say the words out loud.

But then, sometimes, a performance like Sing It Live: Wurlitzer Sessions comes along and reawakens a song we thought we already knew, and we fall in love with it again.

27,000 people have already watched this stripped-down, intimate studio performance, recorded in the Sing It Live Basement Studio and produced by Darren Mullan. The performance features Carla Tsimopoulos on vocals, with Mullan himself on Wurlitzer Electric Piano and vocals, and Damien Steele Scott on bass.

The video opens with an aerial view, hands tightening over keys, a deep breath pulled in, eyes closing just before the first note. You can almost feel the nerves, anticipation, and excitement of playing together. Before a word is sung, emotion is already present.

Then Carla begins. Not belting and not mimicking Kelly’s powerhouse notes.

She sings with softness, raw, breath-warmed vulnerability that pulls you right back into whatever moment this song once healed in your life. Darren responds to harmonies with the weight of someone who has lived through his own chapters. The vintage hum of the Wurlitzer swells beneath them, and Damien’s subtle bass line becomes the heart pulse of the entire arrangement.

It’s not loud. It’s simply honest. And sometimes honesty is what worship sounds like.

Music is one of God’s gifts that doesn't require translation, explanation, or permission. It reaches children in hospital rooms, parents remembering brokenness, couples mending pieces, and hearts still learning how to trust again. It gives voice to pain, but also to healing.

What I love about this session is that they didn’t try to reinvent a classic—they had fun with it. It allowed the listener like myself to not only hear, but to remember what I felt when I first heard the song so many years ago.

And somehow, after listening, you feel lighter—not because the song erased anything, but because it reminded you that music has always carried us through what words alone could not.

When you have a moment, listen for yourself. Turn up the volume, close your eyes, and just let the melody find you again.

And if life has felt heavy, uncertain, or tender, let this performance remind you: healing often begins in the places music dares to open.

Psalm 40:3 “He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in Him.”

Beautiful Rendition of Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’ Wows

This young woman’s beautiful rendition of Adele’s “Someone Like You” wows and stuns. It is simply astounding. Watch the video to see her endless talent.

When artist Zoe Clark picks up that guitar, you don’t know what to expect. Her performance is nothing short of amazing. As she stands on a busy Dublin street, passersby slowly take in her voice.

She appears relaxed and lazily in tune with the music and takes Adele’s song and spins it into something that’s her own. It is more raw and stripped down. It sounds as if she fully grasps the pain in the lyrics:

"Don't forget me, " I beg
I remember you said
"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead"
"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead"

The guitar playing is clear and as pretty as her voice. Around her, the skies and street look gloomy and cold, but her voice brings pleasant warmth. When she plays, she’s in the zone.

She is completely unbothered by the busy bustle around her as she just slips into her music. She’s completely locked into the emotion of the moment. Zoe sings as though she’s singing the song to someone, delivering lyrics from her soul.

You almost have to wonder if she’s had an experience that relates to the song. It is certain that nothing about her art is flashy in any way, but it is completely beautiful and show-stopping nonetheless. She is the opposite of dramatic; she is sincere. And it is simply impossible not to notice her talent.

All in all, this is one of those striking performances that sticks in your heart long after you’ve heard it. It brims with genuine, heartfelt emotion. So, if you find that this song has stopped you in your tracks and struck a chord in you, then just let it.

Stunning A Cappella Rendition of The Beatles’ ‘Blackbird’

The A Cappella Academy’s simply stunning a cappella rendition of The Beatles’ “Blackbird” will take your breath away. It’s the most beautiful version of “Blackbird” you will ever hear. Don’t hesitate to play the video and give it a listen.

The cover is arranged so beautifully and with great imagination. It deserves to be broadcast far and wide. There’s no underestimating it. It’s simply stunning.

As the nine vocalists gather on the stage, they all have an essential part to sing. They prove no instruments are necessary—their voices are their instruments, and they are perfectly tuned. There are many harmonious moments added to the song, which make even the non-lyrical moments shine with beauty. To perform such an incredible feat, every member must have a skilled ear and voice. They bring an emotional depth and intention to the classic Beatles piece.

Some moments are just whispers of sound—a light melody, but then they swing to something strong and controlled. Somehow, it all blends together perfectly.

Some of the lyrics the group sings are:

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

When you hear this sweet song, it’s like nothing else exists. You just want to bask in their voices and the beautiful melody, hoping the short song will somehow last forever. It is not only technically perfect but also deep and emotional. This performance pulls out the deep meaning of the song, which was written about the Civil Rights Movement. It’s impossible not to connect with the song and feel its hope through these performers.

This song excellently showcases the power of music. It has the potential to take you to another place and touch your soul when you least expect it.

This New Take on The Eagles’ Classic ‘Hotel California’ Will Blow You Away

This electrifying new take on The Eagles’ classic ‘Hotel California’ will blow you away, no question. This vintage Havana-style cover will take you back to another time. Play the video to hear the astounding cover.

This cover almost doesn’t sound anything like the original song—in the best way. It’s jazzy and laid-back and feels vintage and classy. The video is entertaining all on its own, too. You feel like you’re sitting at a fancy restaurant in old times. There’s even a little salsa dance number before the song ends, which adds to the entertaining experience.

The lead singer, Rogelio Douglas, Jr., has one of those incredibly gifted voices that doesn’t need any accompaniment. His voice is breathtaking all on its own. Once you start listening, you won’t want to stop. He belts the lyrics:

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
They livin' it up at the Hotel California

As Rogelio takes his time with the lyrics, it prompts you to reflect on the song's real meaning. It warns how wealth can destroy, and happiness through wealth is an illusion. It reminds us that the grass really isn’t all that greener on the other side.

The beautiful arrangement brings a new warmth to the song, which feels both nostalgic and fresh at the same time. It even includes the original coda guitar riff, but spices it up with the sax and trombone. The quality of the song and video is almost cinematic, and it’s clear that great thought has been put into the details of the performance.

You can tell the performers are having fun, and the energy is contagious. It’s an atmosphere that pulls you onto the stage with the performers—like you’re sharing the moment with them, and you’ll want to go back to it again and again.

Loretta Lynn’s Granddaughter, Emmy Russell, Delivers Heartfelt ‘Lay Me Down’ Rendition

Watch this precious tribute from a granddaughter to her grandmother. Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter, Emmy Russell, delivers a heartfelt ‘Lay Me Down’ rendition.

Emmy has such a stunning and unique voice. She is poised, stunning, and has a sweet spirit about her. Her twang sound wows the audience. They are speechless.

This evening is to honor one of the greats in country music. Those present are graced by the presence of this young woman, who is up there just singing in memory of her grandmother. It is truly precious to think about the generations sharing their love of a skill and career.

Emmy herself has sung as a contestant on American Idol and is following in the footsteps of her grandmother in country music. She clearly has a gift and is an artist all her own. Her voice is so unique, you have never heard anything quite like it.

She has a high, gentle quality in her tone and an honesty in her voice. She is a true story teller like Dolly Parton, Reba, or Loretta Lynn. You will enjoy every moment of this performance and even more so knowing that it is the songwriter’s family member remembering her well.

This song is the perfect memorial to Loretta Lynn. The chorus says:

When they lay me down someday
My soul will rise and fly away
This old world will turn around
I'll be at peace when then lay me down

At the end of her performance, Emmy sweetly thanks the audience as they cheer. Jesus gives every sinner hope for life after death and encourages us to have confidence and peace in eternity with Him by His gift of salvation to all who believe in Him.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9

‘Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for a place to go
Where they play the right music
Getting in the swing, you come to look for a king’

Before the start of her audition, Debbii was asked what her main goal was with auditioning. “Win America’s Got Talent and finally come out of my shell and show the world what I love to do,” she replied. “Music is everything to me. It’s more than a hobby, it’s my legacy.”

She goes on to share how her grandfather taught himself in India to play the organ by drawing on concrete with charcoal, and that’s how he taught her dad. Then her dad went on to teach her music. It has been something that the family has loved for generations.

During her AGT audition, Debbi turned ABBA's ‘Dancing Queen’ into her own unique hit! The audience absolutely loved it and couldn’t stop cheering for her. She even got a standing ovation from them after she finished her performance.

“The way you sound, it’s so sweet and soothing. You really do have a star quality,” shared Howie Mandel after Debbii’s performance.

“There’s something about you,” commented Sofía Vergara. “I wouldn’t mind listening to your voice all day long. It’s amazing. I love it!”

Simon Cowell concluded the commentary from the judges by complimenting Debbii’s choice to take a risk with the song and make it her own. “I really like the fact that you’ve taken one of the most well-known pop songs of all time and literally made it your version,” he said. “I’m going to remember this audition, and I’m really, really happy that you’ve auditioned on this show.”

After a beautiful audition, it’s clear to see why Debbii was rewarded with four yeses from the judges!

This The Voice Singer Wows Judges with Electrifying ‘Edge of Seventeen’ Rendition

This The Voice singer wows the judges with an electrifying rendition of “Edge of Seventeen” that sends chills up the spine. The 24-year-old could not sound more perfectly unique. Watch the performance to hear her incredible voice.

Amelia (Milly) Monk absolutely astounds the Australian judges with her performance. Each one nods their head in rapt attention as Milly starts out. Less than a minute into the song, she has already had two judges hit their buzzers.

Five seconds more, and all the judges have their chairs turned around. At the end of her song, Milly gasps in surprise at seeing all of the judges there with their chairs turned, wanting her on their teams. And it’s not just the judges who are impressed; the whole room erupts in applause.

It’s no surprise that all the judges loved her. She has a unique, slightly raspy voice that is much like Stevie Nicks ' and makes her ideally suited to sing Nicks’ song, “Edge of Seventeen.” Some of the lyrics she croons are:

Well, he seemed broken-hearted
Something within him
But the moment that I first laid eyes on him
All alone, on the edge of 17
It is also a very unique song choice, and it makes her stand out. It’s one of those songs that’s older now and blurs genres. But as exemplified by Milly, all generations have come to love it.

“It was intense, but I sang my heart out and gave it everything I had,” she said of competing. “Standing alongside some of the biggest voices in the competition and holding my own was such an honor.”

Milly has a strong stage presence, and you just want to watch her as she sings. She radiates with confidence and vulnerability. No matter where she goes with the competition, it’s clear that she’s destined for a career in music.
