The event took place inside the beautiful Church of St Mary and All Saints, and honestly, there’s something so heartwarming about seeing a church filled not only with worship but with laughter, music, dancing, and community. 

But what makes this video unforgettable isn’t just the music. It’s the people. It’s watching strangers beam at each other. It’s seeing older couples clap along while younger audience members dance in the aisles. It’s hearing hundreds of voices come together for a few beautiful minutes where nobody cared about stress, bad news, or the weight of the world outside those church walls.

It is always amazing to see an audition that earns a golden buzzer. This children’s choir's golden buzzer is inspiring. The video starts with a huge group of children of various ages entering the stage. They all have bright colored t-shirts on. 

The audience cheers as one judge asks how many of them are in the group. One child replies one hundred, another one hundred and four. The director says, “Fifty.” The crowd giggles, and the children introduce their head teacher, Mr. Tim, and share that they are from Braunstone Community Primary School.

The Boy Shared That He Would Spend the Money On Charity 

The boy who is answering is comical. He says that he would spend the money on charity and be a little bit cheeky and buy a Lamborghini for himself, and everyone laughs. The boy announces that they will be singing “All Things Bright and Beautiful.” The kids begin to sing, and it is precious. 

Everyone is smiling, and as the director leads, a little boy with a name tag that reads “Mini Mr. T” comes onto the stage and takes Mr. T off. The judges ask what is happening and laugh. Mr. T comes back dressed in a bright shirt and a sideways hat and asks what day it is, and the kids reply that it is Friday. Many more children begin to sweep the stage. All of them start to dance together. 

After the performance, everyone celebrates their team efforts. The judges ask how they learned this with such a large group. Mr. Tim explains that on Fridays at 2 pm, they come together to celebrate the end of the week. The judges encouraged him to do this in all schools. 

One judge is so impressed with their energy, heart, and talent and is moved to press the golden buzzer. The headmaster is in shock. The judge goes on stage, gives hugs, and tells them she is excited to see them in the semifinals and to share that joy with millions of people.

If Neil Diamond could hear it, I bet he would be thrilled. Previously, he said he loved Frank Sinatra’s cover the most. 

“He did it his way,” Neil said. “He didn’t cop my record at all. I’ve heard that song by a lot of people and there are a lot of good versions, but Sinatra’s swinging, big band version tops them all by far.”

No matter how it is sung, “Sweet Caroline” is almost impossible not to sing along to. It will always be a great song, and it was certainly a great choice by this singing group.

So, the cover better be good, or you’re going to cause your entire audience to tune out, or worse yet, turn against you. So, again, a cover better be good, and that goes doubly when attempting to perform a classic, beloved tune.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one band of musicians does just this as they take on Janis Joplin’s 1968 classic “Piece of My Heart.” This is a song that everyone has heard. Not only that, but they are familiar with Joplin’s very distinct, unique and one-of-a-kind voice. So, this was going to be a tall task.

But this group of talented musicians passed this musical test with flying colors. This is one of the best versions of this song you will ever hear, and that is no exaggeration.

The music closely matches the original, but the lead vocalist’s performance truly sets this cover apart. Her spot-on imitation could convince any listener that Janis herself is singing.

Paul McCartney Wrote “Maybe I’m Amazed” for His Wife, Linda

Paul wrote the song in 1969 for his wife, Linda McCartney. It was his way of thanking her for her support during The Beatles’ split. More than any Beatles’ song, Paul McCartney wants to be known for “Maybe I’m Amazed.”

He was married to Linda for 29 years, until she died in 1998 of breast cancer. 

He recalled of her death, “I think I cried for about a year on and off. You expect to see them walk in, this person you love, because you are so used to them,” he said. 

“I cried a lot. It was almost embarrassing except it seemed the only thing to do,” he added.

Nevertheless, despite my not being the biggest fan of Paul, George, John and Ringo’s music, I still understand that they essentially changed pop music, and all music, for that matter. And that influence is still easily spotted to this day. Beatles tunes still get endless radio play on countless stations. Any time there is a Beatles song playing, you can bet that anyone within earshot will be familiar with it and will likely start singing or humming along. Also, countless musicians and bands have been influenced by the Beatles' music.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a pair of young street performers, playing one of the group’s most beloved songs, put on an outstanding performance.

Yes, it’s a song that we have heard hundreds, possibly even thousands of times, but the talent on display here is mind-blowing. Both of these young people have been blessed with a ton of musical talent, as evidenced by this marvelous performance.

Even if you’re not the biggest Beatles fan, like me, there is still plenty to appreciate here. When someone has talent, people are willing to listen and watch, even when they cover a song that you might not entirely love.

‘The Gambler’ Was Written in 1976

The song was written in 1976 by country songwriter Don Schlitz. He never expected the song would get as much notoriety as it did. 

Don recalled that in “20 minutes, I wrote most of it in my head. I didn’t write a last verse. [I] had no idea what was gonna happen, thought it was an interesting story, but it was a throwaway. I spent about six weeks trying to figure out what was gonna happen after the chorus.”

When Kenny picked up the song, it became a huge hit—the biggest perhaps of Kenny’s whole career. The song helped Kenny win a Grammy, and it even inspired five movies that Kenny starred in. Johnny Cash also recorded the song, but it was Rogers that fans clung to. 

Atticus’ version is a lovely nod to the country legend.
