Your Nightly Prayer

God often asks us to stop, to be still, to leave the frenetic toil of hustle-and-bustle, so that we might attend to the work of the Spirit deep within us.

God alone knows the full impact of our faithfulness. He calls us to be obedient to the leading of his Spirit; it’s not our job to be successful.

His peace and grace meet us when worry arises, and His compassion is felt as we journey through this life.

For many of us with anxiety, our thoughts can seem so real.

We are called to give ourselves in loving service to others, just as Christ gave himself for our redemption, healing, and life.

There’s wonder to be found within our responsibilities. We simply need a heart of thanksgiving, open to God’s omnipresent glory, to see it!

When we are doing good work, the enemy desperately wants to stop us.

The hardest part about being in a season of waiting is…everything!

Father, thank you for the many times you have prevented me from saying unwise, cruel things.

There is still good work for us to do; let us complete it with excellence and focus, working as unto the Lord.

Worry doesn't make us more prepared. More often than not, it simply steals today's peace.

We can believe that God knows what is best for our family, but we live in this world, and letting go of whatever control we think we might have can be very difficult, perhaps impossible on our own for some of us.

Friends, peace isn’t the absence of chaos, but the presence of Christ within it.

He will not leave you or forsake you.

Tonight, as you prepare for sleep, ask God to take the measuring tape of His grace and begin tailoring these new responses in your heart, preparing you to walk beautifully clothed into tomorrow's new season.
