Opening Reflection

The middle is often the hardest place to be.

At the beginning of a journey, there is excitement, anticipation, and fresh motivation. At the end, there is relief, celebration, and the ability to look back and see how God was working all along. But the middle can feel exhausting. It is where progress seems slow, prayers feel unanswered, and the finish line remains out of sight.

Maybe you're in the middle of a difficult season right now. Perhaps you're waiting for healing, longing for restoration in a relationship, searching for direction, or simply trying to stay faithful through a season that has lasted longer than expected. The middle can make us wonder if anything is changing at all.

Yet God often does some of His greatest work in the middle.

The places where we feel stretched, weary, and uncertain are often the very places where our faith grows deepest. While we focus on what is happening around us, God is often working within us—strengthening our trust, shaping our character, and teaching us to depend on Him in new ways.

The middle may feel messy, but it is not meaningless. It is often where transformation takes place.

Prayer

Father,

Thank You for meeting me in the middle of this season. When I feel weary, remind me that You are my strength. When I feel discouraged, remind me that You are still working. When I am tempted to give up, help me remember that You have never abandoned me.

Teach me to trust You when I cannot see what You are doing. Strengthen my faith in the waiting. Renew my heart day by day and help me keep my eyes fixed on You rather than my circumstances.

Tonight I surrender the outcome of this season into Your hands. I trust that Your plans are good and that Your timing is perfect. Continue Your work in me, even when I cannot yet see the results.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.
