A new season greets us today. Fall has arrived, and with it comes crisper air, warm sweaters and blankets, and natural beauty. It's a season that we often reflect on what we are thankful for, and a precious time that we can spend focused on the Lord, before the hustle and bustle of the holidays steals our focus.
The book of Psalms is a perfect read for this new season. Drink in these beautiful words and soak up the message that the Lord is telling you.
May these Scriptures provide encouragement, comfort, and inspiration. May you praise Him and trust Him in every season of your life.

1. Psalm 126:5-6
Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them. Psalm 126:5-6
Maybe your summer was full of hard work, hard decisions, and just plain hard circumstances. Know that though your soul may feel parched and barren, you can enter into this harvest season with the promise of showers of blessings and armloads of joy.
3. Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you. Psalm 32:8
Be open to His leading and trust that He will lovingly counsel you as you transition into this newest season of life.
5. Psalm 27:14
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14
He has a good plan for your life, though some days the fruit may not be evident. During this season, trust Him fully as you wait for the harvest.
6. Psalm 23:5
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Psalm 23:5
He yearns for us to take our seat at the table of His bountiful blessings. Our Provider, Protector, and Comforter is so good, full of mercy, and love—even in the darkest of valleys.
7. Psalm 8:3-4
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place, what is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them? Psalm 8:3-4
It’s hard to fathom that He who made the heavens and moon, and gathered the stars would be concerned with us, such small creatures in the grand scheme of things. But, He really does care about even the smallest of things in our lives.
8. Psalm 24:1
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Psalm 24:1
Everything belongs to Him. May we continually thank Him for each and every thing He has entrusted to us. May we use Godly wisdom in our choices as stewards. It really is true that we reap what we sow.
9. Psalm 31:19
How abundant are the good things that You have stored up for those who fear You, that You bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in You. Psalm 31:19
All good things are from Him. Take comfort, knowing He’s working out a good plan for your life. One that’s full of abundance.
10. Psalm 61:2
From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2
He is able to lift you higher than you could ever reach by yourself. Trust that He will plant your feet firmly when your heart is heavy and your body frail.
A Prayer for God's Blessings
Dear Father God,
Thank You for Your unfailing love for me, Your blessings, and goodness. Thank You for Your faithfulness to guide me and see me throughtimes of uncertainty, for lifting me up, and setting me on high. Thank You for Scripture that comforts and reminds me of Your promises, plan, and provision. Thank you for taking away my fears and worries, the what-ifs, and reminding me that my help comes from You. Help me be a good steward and to sow wisely.
In Christ’s Name.
